Cables and Batts.....

SUNDAY 2ND

Left early to so we could spend as many hours as we needed at the house to do Tony's cable running and so i could do the batts.....had to travel up in two cars (lucky for me Kell didn't need her car)...Tony took the Santa Fe with all the equipment in it while i took the Elantra with Mia and the food.  Tony had to go via Broadmeadows to go to Bunnings, I went via Woolworths.
By the time we both arrived at the house it was around 8.45am......
My job was to take all the yellow insulation batts out of the external walls in the rumpus room and replace them with the green sound batts.....it wasn't hard just itchy and thats with a long sleeved top on, gloves and a face mask.....we own a pair of carpet scissors, they were soooooo handy to cut the batts.  Once i had finished in the rumpus i used the left over batts (both green and gold) to line the laundry/Kellys sitting room and then the back of her wardrobe/family room....trying to keep the noise out of her rooms.  I finished about 4pm...thankfully i had a spare jacket with me to put on after all the work with the batts....should have taken a face washer as i could feel the fibreglass on my face.
Tony and Adrian had laid some of the cables on Saturday, but it took him until nearly 4.30 to finish the runs, before he started on the rumpus room with the speaker cables, that took him till nearly 7.30 and he still wasnt finished....so tonight he has to run the rear speaker cables and i'm not sure what else.
We were both extremely tired...
Insulation batts as they were originally
Batts as they are now

The reused yellow batts in the TV niche between the Family rm and Kelly's bedroom...the glow is caused by the floodlight in the room behind.

Some of the cable work all tied up neatly until after plastering etc..
