The Third Shed..........

Yay!...finally we go the third shed up.....now that we know what we are doing it didn't take us long at all.  All the dogs came out to supervise us, and wag their tails in the dirt creating dust storms....lol
Now we need to put flooring into the first shed, so all the boxes going into it don't get wet bums....
It is great to finally get the side of the house back, it has had the 3 sheds down there for about 4 months, now I get to paint the fence...lucky me :)

Backyard.....2

Having the day off for the public holiday, didn't mean sitting back watchin sport and drinking, no, it meant out in the back yard tidying things up and moving stones around....sounds simple but it was very time consuming.
It does however look alot better and neater...now we only have the area around the dog shed to weed, but that won't be done until we shorten the litterbox at that end.

Screen Doors.....

Yesterday, our retractable screen doors were installed on the bi-fold, and the two french doors.  They went up quick as a wink....now the object is to teach the dogs when the doors are open they can't always just walk through them...they are pretty smart cookies, so they should pick it up quickly (fingers crossed).
I took pics, but it is hard to see the screens, see what you think.

If you look carefully you can make out the screens

Back fence....

Okay, who was the smart one who decieded that it would be a good idea to paint the back fence today?......any takers???........oh yeah!....me......
The original plan was to do the section where the third shed is going, but, because there was no wind and the sprayer was behaving itself, I decided to keep going......arrrgggghhhhh!!!!     14 meters later it's all finished!, the problem with having the 1.8m high fences is that it is a long reach for a short person, no wonder my arms are falling to bits...lol
So, once again i look like a speckled hen :)

Took pics but I might have to wait until later when the sun has moved so we can actually see what the pic is, at the moment its very hard to try and make out what it is.

after shot ...oops forgot to move the step stool

long shot of the back fence....see, you can't make out any details

The dogs finally have a house....

By hook or by crook Tony was determined to get the dog shed up today, regardless of the weather!  He was lucky that it was only hot and that there was NO wind.
The plan was simple, surely 4 people could get the silly thing put together then move it into place.  Oh boy, this one was so much easier to move when its only half built rather than waiting till its complete like we did with the first shed, it was good, half way through the operatation Kelly's boyfriend John arrived, yay it was great having a tall person to help with the roof  :)

While doing the dog shed Tony had a brain wave...hmmmmmm.....we won't put the third shed where we were going to, instead we will put it on the other side of the yard....would it fit?...nope, not a problem, we'll just shorten the litterbox. Okay, that was something he was planning to do, but not until Adee had moved out and we didn't have so many dogs romping through the yard.
So, shorten the litterbox he did, this took longer than putting up the shed.  Thank you to Adrian and John for helping today.

During the week we also put up more storage shelving in the garage and managed to get the metal shelves against the wall...most of the metal shelves will not be staying where they are but will eventually go into the third shed when thats up.
Slowly but surely the piles of boxes in the middle of the garage are being moved...with all the humid weather we've been having alot of the boxes collapsed...bugger!  Went and bought some plastic tubs to put stuff in, which will also make it easier to see whats in them.

Mia and Nikki's house

Their crappy beds which they love

You can see how much he has shortened the litterbox here...from where the black peg is to the post on the fence

Shelving along the wall of the single garage, eventually this is where the gym equip will go....eventually!
also, near the roller door will be the second of our suspended shelves.

The extra shelves above the trough

the first of two suspended storage shelves, the other will go on the wall behind us near the roller door

What to do on a hot humid wet day....

Well, the weather has certainly put a stop to erecting the dog shed....grrr....on the bright side there wasn't any wind earlier....just tons of rain  :(

So, after he had had lunch Tony decieded to put up the shelving/drawer system in the garage...its the one i ordered for my craft room but didn't order enough plus the pieces are not what they are supposed to be, when they made it they were either :- a) in a rush, b) asleep or c) drunk.  Thank god Tony could adapt it so it went together....that is why, when you see the pics that the right hand side is missing its Melamine strip, they made the whole panel 'a about t'.

I really like how its turned out, now we can put all his tools away which will free up another corner.

Also finished straightening up the pantry today after Tony put the top shelf up last Thursday.

Darn Wind....Grrrrrrrr

For a week and a half now we have been trying to get back into the back yard to put up one of the two remaining sheds, but, will the weather co-operate with us...NO!...not on your nelly!!!  Yes, yes, i know that Wallan actually means 'windy' but do they have to prove it every single day!!.......I am not strong enough to hold the shed up while Tony puts it together.....who knows where i could end up if the wind takes hold of it.
I think we have only had one windless day, and you guessed it, that was the day we were busy and couldn't do the sheds.

One good thing is that i have managed to get two more panels of fence painted, we ended up buying a suction hose that went straight into the paint...trouble is we only bought a 4 ltr tin of paint.

This morning we had big plans....got up early, had breaky, went outside and moved the appropriate pieces into the back yard from the sideway, and while we were doing this the wind decided that it would blow harder and harder. so what a futile effort that was.

Ah Ha!!...Master Tony had a cunning plan up his sleeve.....he decided that now would be a good time to put up the extra shelf i wanted in the pantry....yay!!!  talk about a all day job, started around 10.30ish and finished at 9pm...long day, poor thing didn't even stop to have lunch...why didn't i make him any i hear you ask?....cos i was out with a girlfried who'd come to visit :)   Anyway he has done a superb job, :))   I love having a handy husband.   Now the big job tomorrow is to try and re-arrange everything in it.

Change of subject, but we are still waiting to hear from Porter Davis in regard to having our 3month inspection, which should have been done at the very begining of December....a phone call is in order i think!
