Letterbox

Finally our estate is now receiving our post via a mailman....it is so good not to have to go down the street to check the mail.  Delivery started last week but you had to have a letterbox up...did we...nope, it was still sitting in pieces in the garage.

So last week Tony and I erected it...sadly we had to wait until this week to be able to use it...talk about Australia Post ripping us off....Mid March I paid for our postal box, as no-one knew when the deliveries would start...so in i went on Monday to cancell the box and start receiving our mail in our letterbox on Tuesday.....there was a cancellation fee....all i got back was $6....the woman said to me, "didn't you know when you were getting the mail delivered when you paid for your box?"   Like,  NO!!...or i wouldn't have paid it..duh...

Anyway..here is our pretty letterbox, which received its first mail today   :)

    do you know what i like most about this letterbox?....we got it very very cheaply...one of the hardware stores was closing down and it was reduced majorly...then when we got to the register they took more off it cos it was a display item and didn't have a box....score!!
